I grew up in Hillsborough, NC and am thrilled to be putting down roots in Cedar Grove.

During the three years I spent working for Adamah Farm and living at the Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center, I fell in love with Jewish communal life and organic farming at the same time. I moved back to North Carolina in 2016, and I was lucky enough to work at some incredible farms in the area before starting my own business.
We started One Soil Farm in 2018, and it's a dream to be working with my dear friend and farming partner Molly to grow food for our community. When I'm not farming, I spend most of my free time building things in the woods with the people I love, watching trashy tv and sewing improvisational quilts.

Hey there! I’m Molly, though you might hear some folks call me “Momo.” Originally from LA, I’m passionate about growing fruits and veggies. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of pulling a crisp carrot from the soil or unearthing a hidden potato treasure. With over a decade of hands-on experience in organic farm production and an MS in Soil and Crop Sciences, I’m thrilled to bring my green thumb to One Soil Farm.

I first crossed paths with Meredith in 2013 at Adamah Farm, where we were both fellows in their Jewish farming program. After years of dreaming of running a farm together, I moved to North Carolina in 2020 to help make One Soil a reality. I live in Durham with my wife Ashley - when I'm not farming, you can find us playing tennis, going for hikes with our dog, and binge-watching lots of Netlix.

I moved to Durham in 2011 from Oklahoma, and I've worked outside on and off my whole life. I love calling Durham home, and love the seasonal rythyms of farming and getting to move my body everyday. Playing with plants is my favorite.

I am a part-time farmer and part-time artist - when I'm not farming, I am taking my dog Rusty on adventures, playing outside, and arting.

Monty Dog
Inspector General
If you’re wondering who’s in charge of keeping things in check on our farm, look no further than Monty Dog. With his keen sense of smell and a judgmental side-eye that could cut through steel, Monty takes his role very seriously—whether he’s sniffing out every corner of the farm or alerting staff of a farm visitor. Monty’s favorite activity? Rolling around in the stinkiest part of the compost pile. It’s a job he loves and takes great pride in!
